These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Verbos Argentina, a web application for practicing Argentine Spanish verbs. Verbos Argentina is owned and operated by Mama Shoula inc ("Mama Shoula", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Verbos Argentina lets registered users practice everyday Argentine Spanish verbs through sentence-completion exercises. The service includes 200 lessons covering 1,000 verbs, with 25 questions per lesson. Access to the first 50 verbs is free; full access to all lessons requires a one-time membership payment that grants access for 12 months. The service also offers sentence and verb translations in the display language you choose in your account settings.
2. Acceptance
By using the service, registering an account, or purchasing a membership, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Continued use after any change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the changed Terms.
3. Accounts and security
You register with your email address, which cannot be changed after registration and must be unique. Sign-in works through a one-time login link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
If you are acting for a business or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
4. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your own personal learning within the plan you selected. You may not: resell or redistribute the service or its content; copy, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the service; circumvent technical limits, such as the credit system or the free content limit; or scrape or harvest content from the service.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- engage in fraud, spam, or abusive automated activity;
- infringe the intellectual property rights of Mama Shoula or any third party;
- interfere with the security or operation of the service, including introducing malware, probing or scanning vulnerabilities, or systematic scraping.
6. Intellectual property
Mama Shoula retains all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including the software, original lesson content, sentences, translations, design, and branding. Third-party conjugation data and adapted lesson data are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0, as attributed in the verb guide; those licence rights are not restricted by these Terms. All other rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
7. Payment, billing and refunds
Membership is a one-time payment of USD $5 that grants access to all lessons for 12 months. It does not automatically renew. After 12 months, you may purchase another 12-month membership to regain full access. Your free progress is not lost.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, and refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
8. Service level
We work hard to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. Where reasonably possible, we will tell you before or shortly after doing so.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that learning outcomes are guaranteed.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mama Shoula's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Mama Shoula against claims arising from your use of the service, your content, unlawful use, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time. When your account ends or is terminated, your login access is disabled. You may request a copy of your progress data before deletion; if you do not, we will delete or anonymise your data in line with our Privacy Notice.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Delaware, United States have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
15. Other terms
You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (force majeure). We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app.
