Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Mama Shoula inc ("we", "us"), the operator of Verbos Argentina, collects and uses personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and account timestamps.
  • Learning data: your lesson progress, best progress, game counts, credits, and your chosen translation language.
  • Purchase records: the membership purchases linked to your account (date, amount, validity period, status). Payment details themselves are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and are not stored by us.
  • Technical data: IP address and device or browser identifiers, processed for security and to operate the service.

Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account and send one-time login links (performance of contract).
  • To save your progress, language preference, and purchases so the app works across devices (performance of contract).
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
  • To understand how the service is used and improve it (legitimate interests).

Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers (subprocessors): cloud hosting, authentication, and database providers that operate the app for us.
  • Merchant of Record: Paddle.com, which sells our memberships, processes payments, handles refunds and taxes, and issues invoices. Paddle's handling of your payment data is described in Paddle's own privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers: legal or accounting advisers, where needed.
  • Authorities: where required by law.

International transfers

Because we and our providers operate globally, your data may be transferred outside your country, including outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. We respond to requests within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us through the support details shown in the app's My Account page.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and browser storage that keep you signed in and make the app work. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking them will sign you out.

Changes

We may update this Notice as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app.
